Started by Sam Morgan in 1999, TradeMe became New Zealand’s number one site in 2005. TradeMe allows New Zealanders to buy and sell online via online auctions. TradeMe is the largest ecommerce site in New Zealand and it dominates the New Zealand web in traffic. TradeMe sold in 2006 to Fairfax for NZ$700 million.
